Seyram Dodor

Seyram Dodor (SY '19) is a current History of Science, History of Medicine, and Public Health major. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine and global health. She is particularly interested in studying communicable diseases in relation to reproductive health. As a first-generation Ghanaian American, she interested in how health affects those within the African Diaspora. Her interest in global health started when she interned as a research assistant at NC State, investigating a health disparity in cervical cancer in black women. At Yale, Seyram works as a Student Assistant for the Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale to help recruit more diverse students to apply and attend Yale. She also volunteers a mentor for New Haven REACH.
