Madeleine Lee

Madeleine Lee (BR '19) is a sophomore in Branford College, majoring in Political Science and Computing and the Arts. She is fascinated by the intersection between cyberspace, humanitarian development, and the human body in an increasingly digital landscape. In the past she has worked with the Peace Corps as a student ambassador and interned with Congressman Brad Sherman’s office. At Yale, she is highly involved with the nonprofit community and is proud to call many groups home. She works with Yale for North Korean Human Rights as an Outreach Coordinator; the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance as an Undergraduate Fellow; and the Roosevelt Institute as a student researcher. She also works as the founder and director of StreetWords, a writing workshop program for homeless individuals in New Haven. In her free time, she can be found writing novels that never get finished and doodling on things that shouldn’t be doodled on.
