Mackenzie Naert

Mackenzie Naert is from Dallas, Texas. On campus, Mackenzie teaches health in New Haven schools through Community Health Educators, leads freshman on hiking trips, and mentors high school students through the college application process. Mackenzie recently returned from a semester abroad in Kenya studying health and human rights. During the summer after her sophomore year, Mackenzie went to Guatemala to work in the children’s health education program at a clinic called Primeros Pasos. Mackenzie also had the opportunity to lead a Reach Out trip to Bocas del Toro, Panama, to engage in community health work alongside the organization Floating Doctors. After graduating from Yale with a degree in medical anthropology, Mackenzie plans to go the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in public health alongside her MD.
