Gabriela Esnaola

Gabriela Esnaola (ES ’19) hails from Philadelphia, PA and is pre-med majoring in Global Affairs. Through her work in the field of health services research, she learned about and conducted research evaluating the political, economic, social, and environmental factors underlying disparities in health and health care. She hopes to improve the health and care of historically underserved populations in the U.S. and abroad by not only understanding individuals within the context of their communities, but also being able to design and implement novel and cost-effective ways to care for them. On campus, she volunteers at the HAVEN Free Clinic, serves as president of the Cuban-American Undergraduate Student Association (CAUSA), and is a member of the Public Health Coalition and PIH Engage at Yale. She is also involved with Student Partnerships for Global Health.
