Emma Lower

Emma Lower (ES ’19) is a Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and Political Science double major from Seattle, Washington. She is particularly interested in studying women’s health, the political and cultural determinants of health, and health in conflict zones. After working with asylum seekers from West Africa and Central and South America last summer, she saw the opportunity to use health as a tool to improve international human rights. Upon graduation, she hopes to work at a NGO focusing on global health and women’s rights. Emma also runs varsity cross-country and track and is a researcher for the International Development Center of the Yale Roosevelt Institute.
