Alfred Jiang

Alfred (JE ’18) is an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Major, concentrating on infectious diseases, vector movement, and public policy. Originally from Rancho Cucamonga, California, Alfred is interested in the relationship between the Chinese medical system and their current approach to drug rehabilitation. He realized his passion for public health during the summer of his freshman year, when he volunteered at the Daytop Drug Rehabilitation Center in Kunming, Yunnan Province, organizing health seminars regarding disease transmission. On campus, he works on the Yale-Columbia Antiepileptic Drug Database as a research assistant for Yale’s neurology department. Outside of school, Alfred enjoys playing poker and chess.
