Aaminah Bhat

Aaminah Bhat is member of the Yale Class of 2018. At Yale she studies Global Affairs specializing in national security and is a Global Health Scholar. Aaminah is the co-founder and president of Students of Salaam, active member of the Yale International Relations Association and she speaks Arabic, Hindi, Kashmiri, and Urdu. She is passionate about social justice, policymaking and soccer. Before attending Yale, Aaminah volunteered as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician in New Jersey. She has worked as a research assistant at the Yale Zigler Center for Early Childhood Development and the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute, which she considers pivotal to her interest in refugee resettlement in the United States. Last summer, she studied Social Movement Theory in Morocco. Now, among other things Aaminah works for a New Jersey gubernatorial campaign.
